Contemporary Bedroom
Hi Ia'm a foreigner and would love to know the technical term for the type of drapery header . I can't find it
Love the drapes and roman shade. Does the shade have blackout fabric lining it? Also, where did you find the drapery rod, I would like to get the same one for my living room project. Thanks.
Beautiful roman shade framed with drapery panels
Patterned shades. Tucked behind full-height ecru draperies, a patterned shade adds just the right touch of interest to this serene bedroom. Note that it doesn’t match the link-patterned carpet, but is an equal

Return. Finally, you must decide how much return you will need. Return is the distance your drapery hangs away from the wall. Yup, this also affects the proportion. The standard return is 3½ inches. But larger or taller windows may require a deeper return to avoid looking squashed against the wall

Are the valance and draperies mounted on a board or rods? THANKS
Hi, these are custom made. I have designed drapery for people in different parts of the country. It takes a few extra steps but it can be done. Message me with your email address If you're interested
Front bedroom this is the style of draperies. We are not using the valance.
These draperies, along with this ottoman, make me think of a wedding cake — very light and frothy in feel. Instead of using tiebacks to swag drapes to the side, the designer used them to add volume by lifting the drapes partway down. Are you designing a bridal showroom? Take notes!
A long drape that falls to the finished floor creates a puddle of fabric. Tip: The bottom of the drapery that lands on the floor should be fluffed by hand for the perfect puddling effect.

Card Room Green, Farrow & Ball
Here's a concept of using both shades and draperies; however, these draperies are way too full for your particular use, but it at least conveys the idea.
All the color and the chartreuse green
Rosenfeld, a lover of green, chose Farrow & Ball's Card Room Green for her living room walls. The designer loves unexpected color pairings; here she brings together greens and purple tones with rich drapery that lavishly pools on the floor.

On the other end of the spectrum, if you love green but don't want to feel like you're living in Kermit's Palace, use several shades and hues to give your space depth. Dark hunter greens, bright leafy greens and softer, citrus yellow-greens layer beautifully
Consider planting trees or other greenery directly outside your windows, then accessorizing your space with emerald green to create that cohesion between outside and in.

I have a small pine upstairs apartment with slanted walls. I love the green cabinets and red island, but am worried that it may be to much for the small space..What do you think???
I think it works because the green has yellow in it making it warm and the red is a cool red. Nice.
Thanks - you are right, red and green are tricky. This color scheme really fit the homeowner and thankfully turned out well.
Barn red and green color combo!
This I like for the colour pallet. The red for the living room, the green for the kitchen walls, with the travertine tile and wood trim....
guacamole green and a rich cranberry red avoids wood-tone overload.
I like these green and red for exterior
Lovely and warm green and red color combination with the natural wood.
