Raised Bed Vegetable Garden
Once a forgotten, moldy putting green —now a healthy vegetable garden. Raised beds were built and filled with organic soil and leaf mold. This garden provides the family with spring through late fall vegetables including lettuces, tomatoes, beets, peas, eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, and a ton of basil

local lumber supply. I think this particular garden would be too low for wheelchair access, but it would be very easy to make adjustments to accommodate.
It really depends on what you are growing. This is a zone 5b garden. The front half of the garden gets about 8 hours of full sun. The back half

Was fencing designed to deter deer?
I've all but given up on such a garden because of the deer. Is this structure tall enough and strong enough to keep deer out? Its so beautiful!

Did you use 4x4 and 1x's for building this? Is that a wire in the same area you have the garden tools hanging from, what's on top of it?
You must have built a beautiful entry for this garden. Any way we could
used? Also is it fed through drip irrigation? Thank you for helping those of us who are design challenged ; )
I like the way this makes the garden look classy.
Thank you for the compliment on the garden! After a search through our archives, this photo is the only one that shows the entry. -

Is ths garden on the roof?
roofs. Many people shovel their roofs. This garden is an awesome idea but how can roofs cope with the weight?
Yup! The client loves gardening, so this provided another opportunity for that. Plus, it allows the building to blend more into the hillside and not disrupt the view from the upper cabin.
Garden roof? On an overhang on like a sunroom?

Green roof and hidden in cutters
Love this idea for a cabin or "green" house
don't need gardening help like this, but it's important to consider that green roofs slow rainwater runoff while also insulating interior spaces and adding beauty to the "fifth facade"; they also give the opportunity for gardening and even urban farming.More:9 Cooling Rooftop GardensHigh Design for the

What are the dimensions of the boxes? Are they "square foot gardening" standard? What are they made from?
I just want to know what covers the ground, it looks like sand or gravel. Wouldn't it hurt to kneel down on gravel while gardening? Thank you for your time, I appreciate any reply.
will either rot or seep into the soil. Check with your local garden center or a garden designer for the best materials for your site. I love the classic four-square grid for a vegetable garden. No matter the size of your yard, this design can work — just scale it to fit.
productive garden. Can you get that swiss chard for me now?
If you have the space, raised garden beds are another type of container garden that can bypass the irritating poor-soil problem that plagues many novice gardeners. Building
Thank you GreenCraft for your comments, very lovely garden design
Do you have a suggested plant list? Looking to do something similar with my Harvard, MA garden.
Usually specialty garden structures like these are built over the winter
Wow!! So beautiful. That is really a master piece of traditional landscape. After seeing this image I also though to making this type of garden. Johny S. ...
winter when things slow down. My husband and I run GreenCraft. Our schedules are completely full now, so I couldn't see being able to build anything until late June or perhaps July. Again, we've never really shipped these before and they are quite large (taller than me!) so I really need to spend a little
