Wallway / Corridor First Floor Ceiling Idea
effectively highlight show pieces, read a book and illuminate a hallway. You simply know it when lighting is done right. Mistake 5. Forgetting to incorporate ambient, task AND accent lighting. Lighting designers understand that all well-designed spaces incorporate different types of light. Ambient light
Nobody likes making their way down a dark hallway, so be sure yours is well equipped with ambient light. If you have artwork on the walls, include accent lighting in the mix as well.

Love the idea of a bookshelf in a hallway. Especially leading to somewhere where you can read a book :)
shelves on the wall.. great idea for our walls.
"The curved hallway was Ted's idea and one that we loved," Svetlana says. "We've always had many books, and this was a perfect spot for them." The hallway leads to a glass doorway, a small terrace and the master bedroom. A door to a guest bedroom is on the right. Hall chandelier: Crescendo, Tech

Hallway at the Front of the House with Windows
hallway, for possible add on someday
Don't mind the hallway in the front
sloped ceiling. hallway to exterior with windows
This hallway uses solid panels to create a rhythm in the glass exterior. As you can see, these panels are ideal for displaying paintings. The clerestories are a nice touch that illuminate the ceiling and reduce the need for artificial lighting throughout the day.

How wide is the hallway, and what is the ceiling height? Thank you.
I'm not a designer but if I wanted this look I think a 5'/4' ratio would look real attractive in a home of this design. Good luck with your remodel :)
The interior designer on the project
came with the house, we have no idea who makes them, we just had the shades changed and new floors, and wainscot as well as the cabinet at the end, we did not provide the lights.
