RAMP??? Best time to do this project: For an interior ramp, any time of year is fine. For outdoor ramps, plan to have the work done during warm weather. Typical project length: A small ramp (equivalent to
weeks or more. If adding a ramp requires major restructuring of other areas of your home, consider the timetable similar to that of a major remodel.
We should add ramps to our home.
A long ramp navigates the 4-foot grade change from the street level to the front door. It's just one of the many universal design elements. Others include a very complete first floor that the couple can live on if they ever need to, including a bedroom, full bathroom and a layout with all the spaces

Who to hire: For an interior ramp, an architect or designer will be able to create a custom one that not only fits your space, but is integrated well with the design and style of your home. From flooring choice to the shape and style of the railings, an interior ramp works best when it echoes the style

Composite decking material, as shown on this ramp, is another popular choice. This material is best used on a covered area in climates with snow and ice, as it could get slippery. Take care when shoveling not to damage the surface.

that is a neat way to do a ramp, wonder if this is more
The first change they made was adding a wooden access ramp. They then replaced it with this concrete ramp that blends into the landscaping, resembling low terrace walls. The extra width of the upper leg allows for a small front porch.

incorporate handicap accessibility - back of house
ramps down to garage and up to front door
Ramp with steps to back door
Gradually sloped entrance way. I like that it doesn't look like the usual wheelchair ramps.
The EntryThis is a wonderful example of how to incorporate a ramp on a traditional house. A gentle slope from the driveway leads to the courtyard entry and a side door. Materials such as stone, flagstone, bluestone and pavers offer solid footing and gripping contact for wheelchairs. Make sure there
