How is the cook top vented?

could work in your home - see the simple fan in the ceiling. If we can get a powerful one, it might be bigger/wider. But also note pendants can now hang nicely without the fan in the way. I do not see a fan or vent for over the cook top. I am juuuust about to avoid using a fan saw ell. Has this caused any problems in this kitchen? Thanks"
