Correct! It is Kalmia latifolia, and I think it may be marginally hardy in zone 4. If you were willing to give it a sheltered spot in your garden, and to protect it with burlap in the winter, you may have some luck. Some of the hybrids may be a little more rugged. Good luck!

Thanks for replying. I have seen this kind work even for interiors so are they James Hardie Cement Board paneling too? All this while I thought they were Gypsum boards which is hardened
