How did you attach the middle rafter and the purlins?
How are the 8 x 8 posts secured to the floor? I live in the mountains of CO and have high winds.
patio? How are they connected -earth, rock or concrete?

How many feet deep is the balcony? Is the overhang the same depth (i.e. does it cover the whole depth of the balcony)? Which direction does the balcony face? I am in the midst of having a balcony designed for my house and wondered how many feet of overhang and balcony

sufficient to deal with late afternoon glare of direct sun and reflections from the water, so additional screens and shades are used for this purpose. You have the advantage of facing south, in that properly sized overhangs can provide shading from the high summer sun but allow for the lower winter sun angles

what to do. My "vision" isn't 20/20 so to speak. Everything is on the infant stage. I know what I like, I just have a hard time putting it all together. I love the mid century modern look, lots of chrime and shiny stuff etc But so far I have the zebra rug, a long leather storage ottoman and a turquoise

last year to me, but I still love this space, in part for the way the floral wallpaper contrasts with the modern furniture shapes.
Take a look at how yellow has been used in this room. This would be a cheerful spot to come to on a dreary winter day. Also, it wouldn't be that hard to change the look

What is the color of the shower tile? The glass makes it hard to determine.

I see alot of people tiling their tubs. How is this done, and do I need a certain type of tub? I love, love, love, the look of this!
How many gallons does it take? Does it have seats at either end?
Would like to know the tub filler vendor?
for it to become dated (though Manon is correct that it eventually will). It's gorgeous! And you love it! One good way to tell if a color will bother you in 10 years is to reference your photos from 10 years ago. Did you wear that color or a version thereof? Did you use something like it in your
room is to run the tile to the ceiling. It is very helpful to not create all sorts of competing lines when you have such a strong pattern going on. Please think about 12 x 12 marble flooring in a bath. People slip! Smaller tiles= more grout= more grip. Some clients feel fine about it, others not

I love how this craft space is open to the rest of the house yet in it's own nook due to the split level. It's so important to have these rooms in houses, instead of everyone on their ipads, phones, laptops, everyone gets to unwind and connect doing creative things as a family.
walls to separate and yet still be a part of the family room when sewing ... Love that.. especially if one is moving to Texas on ranch property with only a spouse and does not want to be so far away!!!!!

Painted brick, done right, is lovely. It adds texture to a neutral toned room. I would not drywall it. See pic here: http://southerndwellings.blogspot.com/2010/10/mansion-monday_18.html Just google images "painted brick"
