Grey, and Bone ceramic tiles. As for the shelf, we had a stainless shelf created to match the stove. However, I am unsure if it would provide the heating element that you need. Hope that helps!

Manufacturer of the burner in the fireplace, please? Is it a vented or vent free unit? Is it surrounded by glass stones/pebbles? Thank you!
This unit is or is very close to a Heatilator gas fireplace. This one is see-through, providing heat to both sides; two separate spaces. The gases most definitely need to be vented. The gas burns through pebbles/rock material.
I like that it's spacious, and has a fireplace.

Be a little careful what kind of stones you put in a firepit. Some explode when heated, sending small sharp fragments flying. I concur with Anne, your local fireplace expert should be able to help. Find one at the National Fireplace Institute website: nficertified
