What size is the horizontal window above bed? How high off the floor?
wood; big windows; natural colors; nature
long window above bed and timber feature
I Like the rectangular window above the
Window over bed on privacy property wall
clerestory window in wood accent wall
Look at the curtain valance above the window
High ceilings with two levels of windows maximize light. This dramatic space is warmed by the wooden wall. I particularly like the use of the clerestory picture window over the bed, which creates a framed picture of nature.
Natural light penetrates only so far through each window, so consider
large windows above the bedroom's large openings that almost extend to the floor. This clerestory combines with the horizontal window above the bed to maintain views and privacy when the curtains are pulled shut.

deep set window and would like this idea. The best idea I've seen so far for this type window. Mine is not a window seat. It is to high to be a window seat. It is just a very deep sill, about 18-24 " deep.I haven't measured it yet. Any other ideas for that type of window? I don't know what to do with it
for this window, is it possible to use one long, solid rod in a bay window, with only three supporting brackets - one in the middle and one on each end?
I would like to know how you added storage under the window seat
like the windows. What are their dimensions? Are the side windows awnings?
Where did you find the cushion in the window seat?

these windows go to the floor?
How would this bench structure work in a space with existing windows that would come below the back of the bench seating?
what windows did you use, thank you.
these windows make me swoon, I'd love to know who they are made by. thank you, kelly
Are those fixed windows or do they open?
not the window manufacturer that is causing that reaction in you. (Any wood window manufacturer will look about the same, i.e. Marvin, Andersen, Pella, etc.) It's the design with the minimal framing above and between the windows that is responsible for the way they look. It's more expensive engineering
Yes. I think in this case it may be a few inches taller, just a little lower than the countertop height. The drawer base was designed to be 13 inches high, the seat cushion adds another 5-6 inches and the back adds another 15-18 inches. The upholstery pattern and the quality

I have read a few places that the white frame of the cabinets will possibly peek through the sides of the abstrakt high gloss grey doors. Did you put strips on the white edging of the cabinets, or did you find this was not a problem? Thx...
is the quality of it, I'm aware Ikea isn't top notch, but is it still good quality? Can you see anything that may make it look ... 'cheap'? Also with the island , the grey side, is the same material as the backsplash? It's thicker then the backsplash though, right? If not, then how is it holding up
