Are the planter boxes custom? Are they bolted to the brick wall?
Just curious if the planters were made for the wall or bought and if they are attached. We have a very similar wall that I would like to use planters on. These would be perfect. Thanks.

Pebbles next to wall and concrete
And while I do appreciate the historical reference and use of a zaguan to separate inside from outside, I really find it lovely when the feature is used in a more contemporary architectural design.Of course there are differences between the historic and contemporary zaguans. Solid, massive
space has been replaced with a taller, brighter and more generous transition. Still, the zaguan shows us how modern architecture can be rooted in historic forms, and how these forms can have new life breathed into them.Next: Many Cultures Make Their Marks on Mark on Mediterranean Design

Hi, How did you insulate the walls?
I'm buying a house that looks quite a bit like this one. Don't want to take down all those ourside wall boards. I think they add a great deal of stability and I like that
Is the wall paint oil or acrylic and what type of finish is it?

hand painted stripe glazed walls. Antique sideboard, silk blue and gold draperies. Antique Oriental area rug. Upholstered seat dining chairs. Wall sconces. Joseph St. Pierre photo
These marked stripes will not be covered with glaze. Step 5. Apply painter's tape along the pencil lines to border the unmarked stripes. Press the tape down firmly to prevent the glaze from bleeding underneath it. Step 6. Mix together 2 cups of the paint you used on the walls, 4 cups of glazing liquid and
color of your stripes. Step 2. Paint the entire wall or area with a paint roller and your tinted paint. Wait for it to dry before you continue. Step 3. Use a yardstick and a pencil to lightly draw the striped pattern directly onto your walls. If your walls are dark and the pencil marks are not visible
