I LOVE this photo. I LOVE this style!
I love it because the size looks just about right for a retirement home, not too big but not
This is possibly the image of an Arts and Crafts garden that most of us have in our minds. Very English and cozy; busy with flowers restrained by low boxwood hedging. But this is not William Morris’ style of garden — it takes its design features from the later Edwardian gardeners, such as Gertrude Jekyll

Architecture Walk: Exterior Styles and Palettes
Are there interior pictures of this home?
It was photographed as a part of an exterior study/idea book. It is in Sacramento and made of stone. We are unsure of the original designer however most homes in this neighborhood were built in 1920-1945.
Love the style of the home. Very interested in English manors.
Love the fabulous forties homes...SO MUCH!

What style of house is this?
I have a home similar in design and have been told it's colonial. But this is not what comes to mind when I hear that word.
nice English house (Renaissance style from the Picturesque movement considered an Italianate). Italianate and Gothic revival styles were meant to be less formal than other Renaissance styles

Dallas. This significant late-20th-century Dallas example alludes more specifically to the English Elizabethan and Jacobean periods that established English Tudor architecture. Several prominent forward-facing parapet gables (the roof finish abuts the higher-reaching gable wall) extend from the larger
redbrick chimneys. Also notice the oriel window above the entrance and the division of windows by the cast stone, which are characteristics of higher-style examples past and present.
