I would like to know how wide the halls would need to be for this. I can't tell from the photo, but it looks like it is more than 4 feet (including bookcase depth).

What color are the walls and crown moldings in this hall way?
I have red oak floors, dark oak trim and want a warm inviting entry and hall way. Though I would use "new peach" color. But not sold yet. what other colors would work. Don't want beige or browns, it would be to dark.
