This is a guest room double purposing as a home office. the closet was converted into a space to hold office supplies and craft tools. Done on a minimal budget.
The doors were supplied by the home builder Pulte. I would do the same thing as you did:) Good luck!!

It's called a peg board and you can find them at Lowes and Home Depot. They do not come in colors so you will need to paint it. A small roller makes it easy.
