What material is the floor and where can I get it?
Can we stain/etch cement after removing wood/tile? Is it possible?
sive job. The floor grinder would grind away all remaining mortar or glue and then they could stain the concrete and then the concrete is polished. It could be $10-$15 per square foot depending on the layout and complexity, etc -- lots of work, but beautiful...

If you do go with hardwood flooring, a more important consideration would be the species of wood you use, as some woods tend to be softer than others. Also the stain of the wood is a factor that

We are enclosing our screened porch. What is the best flooring ?
What is the best wood floor to use on enclosed porches ? We don 't want to carpet or use laminate.
Love the floors! what type and where did you get them? Thank you!
We use cedar for a lot of porch floors. We also have used pine, Brazilian cherry, and oak.
With an enclosed porch you can use t&g decking material. Cumaru, Tigerwood or Ipe are great alternatives and using a tongue and groove gives the floor a gap free floor like appearance.
The walls are tongue and groove pine. The home owner wanted this room to be rustic, but it still ties into the rest of the home.
The floor is white oak rough-sawn planks which are faced nailed down to add character.
