Becky, thank you so much for the heads-up on the fairy tale garden story. I'd missed it but took your advice; read it; and omg, loved it.

I agree with #4. Clothes, shoes, perfume, jewelries, etc. are now way, way down in my list of priorities.... this is still true even after 17 years that we moved in to our own home. A home is always a work in progress.

Moved into our first home two weeks ago.
We have a hole in an interior wall, drywall dust everywhere and no furniture (literally - we're eating and sleeping on the floor).
We're so overwhelmed but so in love with the house, we vacillate between utter excitement and non-stop energy to complete exhaustion, throwing up our dusty hands and collapsing on our camping thermarests. I don't need an end in sight but some homey comforts will be nice. And I look forward to when we only have one project on the go at a time!
Good thing our two year old is easy-going and likes to "help"! With another babe on the way in a few months, we must be crazy :)

It's the middle of winter and COLD here in Toronto, so I especially want that backyard escape!

Always search Houzz, because I've often written on what you're concerned about! :)
Common boneset flowers are more shallow than spotted joe pye weed, making it even more accessible to a large diversity of insects.

Great ideabook. I can hardly wait to go plant them. Are these commercially available? I don't think I've evern seen aromatic aster before (but I wasn't looking, so maybe it's there in the plant catalog pages).
