I just recently bought a house and would like to paint. The house has brown hardwood floors throughout and dark brown trim, what colors go best?
How much does something like this cost to do in a newly built house
I like the roof pitch rather than flat. Is it attached to the house?
I have a 1950's house with a brick patio with an older aluminum roof. I want to redo the total back patio along with a side area with a firepit. I am limited
due to encroaching roots from a 100 year old red leaf maple that is affecting some of the outlying brick. The roof would need to be attached to the house. Does this pitched roof work? I'm in the Pacific Northwest.
14' x 14'. It can be beneficial to have the structure free standing vs. attached to the house because you can avoid disturbing / modifying the structure of your roof. If you attach the structure to your house, you'll likely need to get a builder or architect / engineer involved (which can get expensive)

".....House on the Neck, even though both houses are close to the water. House on a Point sits in the bowl of an abandoned gravel pit with water on three sides...."
House on a PointThis house's site contrasts with that of the House on the Neck, even though both houses are close to the water. House on a Point sits in the bowl of an abandoned gravel pit with water on three sides. The most open part of the site is to the south, and the architects responded appropriately
appropriately by opening up the house to the sun. Here we're looking at the north side, which is more closed off but also shorter, given the curved profile of the roofs.
