Yes this sink was original to the house. Good luck!
I like the modern farm house look of the kitchen
Love love love that sink. I think there was one like that in the house on Longshore.
me: "It's a funny story because the sink was original to the house, which was built in 1926. The client is about to update the kitchen ... and deciding if it stays or goes. It was in excellent shape when the owner took possession of the house and we were able to just use it as it was for the time being

Where is this house and is it for sale?
Beautiful design and beautiful house, thanks for sharing! Q1: Were there any shear factors to mitigate? Covered by the exposed beam? Or is there a steel frame under the horizontal above the doors (and cantilevered?)? Q2: how complicated are the door seals. There's lots of ceiling
Nice that he could do the doors and windows himself. I saw a manufactured alternative (that you mentioned on this house's comments) that sounds like about $8k a pop [but worth it!]Thanks for the explanations Barry, and thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
thanks!! The house is located on Marrowstone Island, just outside of Port Townsend, WA. The owners are very happy there, and have no intention of selling.

maintaining the vine so that it doesn't lay on the adjacent house or become a huge pile of vegetation.
I love wisteria but the grape will work for my new pergola. Grapes need a lot of water and take about 3 years to produce fruit but worth the wait! There is a great article in Houzz, "How to Start
How the pergola is attached to the house

Along the front if the house?
attached to house like our home
west side of house: this would block the sun beating on wall.

are these slats see-through? I like the look, but would want privacy as we use our shower house for primary showering at the beach.
This is on a porch...would be great if there was also a glass door to the bathroom inside the house so you can walk in dirty and walk out clean (into the house).
A proper outdoor shower is a beach house essential. If you have the space, a full walk-in shower with hot and cold water is a luxury worth splurging on.

Awesome tree house bedrooms for kids
I totally want to spend some nights in this tree house/guesthouse. The only problem is that if you build something this charming and welcoming, you will likely have a constant flow of guests. Take advantage of that if your municipality allows, and use it as a bed-and-breakfast. You could bring in
The interior of a tree house can be just as comfortable as the interior of your home with a little TLC. I love the eclectic style of this abode. The soft furnishings make it so warm and inviting.
