you have a pattern to make a retractable covering for thr pergala?
How far apart does one space the wood roof beams
I live in West Seattle, too, where there is a lot of rain. I am interested in building a pergola over a small concrete patio area, similar to yours. I see the utility of having
having a clear cover over the pergola. The concern I have from talking to a professional is the problem of snow load. Is the pergola strong enough to support the snow load during heavy snow? Is the cover removable? Also, how do you clean the cover and keep the leaves and debris off the clear covers?
We have a beautiful pergola, but it gets some serious afternoon sun, and I'm looking for something to provide temporary shade without being a wet, moldy hassle. Thanks.

Pergolas come in all different materials and sizes. It really all depends on how much maintenance you would like to do and how long you would like it to last. The best wood for Outdoor Structures really is Cedar or Redwood. Redwood is much
light to red in the wood itself. Cedar has insect resistant and decay resistant properties, but seems to be more cost-efficient than Redwood. You dont' have stain or seal Cedar, but it will turn a silvery grey within about 1.5 years, alternatively to keep the lovely color you can use a clear stain

how long did it take to get the wisteria to grow to that point?
what is the size of the pergola? what is the size of the patio table?
vines to the leaf form, I'd say you've guessed correctly!
I lived in Ohio and it bloomed in 3 years. I would estimate the above growth to be spring of the plant's second season if it was planted from a pot.

love the pergola created to "house" the table setting.
Pergolas define outdoor rooms, and you can suspend items like candleholders, paper lanterns and hanging plants from their rafters
I like the idea of vines trellising up and over a seating area.
Add a pergola the year after its complete. DIY 8x8 is $700-1000 in lumber.
Build a PergolaTime required: A weekend if you're very handy, potentially a lot longer if you're not. Hiring a professional may be in order, as you will want sturdy foundations for your structure.Starting budget: If you use cedar to build a DIY 8-foot by 8-foot pergola, it will run you around $700

soil in a dry hand. One trick to create and collect moister from soil condensation is to bury a plastic container in the ground that can chill the surround soil around the roots. Putting the bucket in the ground encourages the roots to grown down for the moister and out away from the trunk and acts as
