this is a beautiful room. What is on the windows are they stationary? Thanks.
Are you able to provide details on the floor? Thanks!
How high is this raised hearth?
How high is the top of the mantel from the floor?
This hearth sits about 20" of the floor, slightly higher than seat height on a chair.
Building an over mantle is a good way to add the granduer to a room
I like how the tv is framed, but not to the ceiling
wondering what to do with the big empty wall in the LR when we tear down the other wall in the kitchen. I wonder if we could move and rework the built ins in the bedroom to flank a fireplace/tv in the LR?
All white next to wood floors. I like this. But what would black tv look like above this?

everyday is a day to find something new in the house. There are so many details in this custom home. Mike Abraham, Tim Thompson, and Mark Hickman all worked to create this home.

These salvaged materials give the home much of its "always been there" quality, and they're coupled with new, energy-efficient glass windows and

you find a beautiful big rug for your entryway but do not want to get dirty shoe prints on it, pull it away from the front and use a neutral and/or naturally woven mat directly in front of the door. Visitors can walk on the mat, take their shoes off, and then enjoy your chic rug. And because the smaller

How do you secure the Expedit?
Hi! I'm wondering, since the Ikea website says you should secure this bookcase to a wall with an anti-topple device, did you feel it was ok to just leave it un-secured and on wheels? I'd love to do something like this as a room divider in my bedroom, but I want
the unit to hold a TV, and I'm worried that the weight of the TV will be too heavy for the Expedit to hold. I love the idea of having the unit on wheels, but , would it be better to secure it on one end to a wall? (i.e., secure on the right side, so that you can access the space behind the unite from

How do you get behind this bar ?
be able to buy matched components of a design like this - cabinets, wainscoting made to specific panel dimensions, and then sub the countertop fabrication. The mouldings are not true to traditional design. The mid-level pier dado cap and cornice do not reflect classical proportions or profiles.
