trick to consider: Install curtains from floor to ceiling. They'll add instant height to a cramped space by drawing the eye upward. Most retailers have seen a demand for longer curtains and now stock in lengths from 84 inches to as long as 124 inches that you can hem to fit. Can't sew to save your life

I like how you did that

you want to cover every wall in the room, a more subdued shade of eggplant is a good choice.
The warm colors in the painting on the mantle in this purple room is the clear focal point. By choosing the cool colors of the walls and furnishings, the designer is adding emphasis to the painting and she's
scheduled to arrive, simply scoop away toys. The area will seem hardly kid-centric, thanks to the retro chair and table. Even the giraffe can stay; he can’t help but give the room some playful flair!

Curious how it is vented. No hood
don't have to see them. Down the road will likely replace with a cooktop that uses an ceiling mounted hood.
remember to have a place in the kitchen to house cookbooks in a discreet kinda way
kitchen-to-dining door is removed, there could be a place for recipe books
bookshelves in island (add to end facing dining area?)
How about this ruggedness in kitchen? and a skylight?
like the half counter doubling as a bookshelf on the other side. Perhaps instead of a whole wall in between kitchen and living room?
But much to their dismay, modern refrigerators were all an inch bigger than their 35-inch-wide enclosure. After a long search, they found a glass-door model that fit in the opening and didn't overwhelm the small kitchen. Refrigerator: Kelly’s Appliances in Salem; wine fridge: Standard TV and Appliances

someone to make shelves like this? I live in Kansas City, and I'm not sure what I would Google to find somebody who could do something like this for me. Thanks so much for any advice you can give me in that area.

Going to be building a small half way similar to that. After some thinking. Im afraid it would be to fragile. And eventually get knocked down or broken. The wall would be around 7ft long. 4 ft tall. but how would i anchor to the floor. i dont want beams to the ceiling
just want to divide my eating area from the living room. After looking at several ideas on here i may just end up building a "book case" type wall. and using it to hold some decor. but i really wanted a simple wall. but i think the book case idea would make it more sturdy?>
Could you please share with me the grey paint color on the walls???
Love, love, love the grey color you chose for walls. Could you please let me know what brand and name you used? Thanks so much for your time!!
