I'm a huge fan of the landscape paintings of Geoegia O'Keeffe. The dusty mountains, punctuated with animal skulls and desert flowers have a beautiful stillness and calm about them that would translate so well to a stone-floored room with high ceilings and large windows. Lots of natural materials, dusty tones and pops of colour from geodes and flowers brings the New Mexico desert right into your home.
I love to mix masculine and feminine elements in a room for contrast and balance. If a room's too feminine it can be almost suffocating, so rustic touches like these beautiful resin horns can help balance things out.
I love being able to change the look of a room just by changing what's on the walls. Small collections of prints and original artworks can be clustered together to create a larger visual impact.
Floating Wood Floor Mirror - $399
I never think enough about mirrors in the house, and find myself always running into the spare room or hallway to see an outfit full length, I love the simplicity of these mirrors, and they look fantastic leant against the wall.
I collect personal sketches and limited edition prints to create gallery hung clusters. A favourite is to prop them up along a shelf, punctuated with knick knacks and postcards.
I love multi-functional pieces like this. It could be used as an end table, a stool, or clustered in a group for a different take on a coffee table.
