These storage tricks will keep your shoe collection handy and looking good

I'm an Interior and Event Designer who is passionate about all things design. I have a hard time resting my brain at night with all of the ideas running through my head. On the flip side, my 2 year old, she humbles me, and makes me stop to realize that sometimes it's the simple things that really must be celebrated. Using crown molding to hang heels on the wall is a great alternative to shelving. It can also be a great space-saver, since all of us don't have a walk-in closet, and this technique can be used on any wall.

Here's that same idea using wired shoe shelving instead. I've also seen towel rods used for this concept.

Pant hangers with adjustable clips are the perfect way to to keep boots from flopping over. No need to keep those boxes when you have this fantastic yet functional display.

I love shoes and always did. Even when I was a child, when I got new shoes, I placed them next to my bed so that I could look at them first thing in the morning. :)

If only I had room for one of those shoe exhibitions! Altough I would never mix clothes and outdoor shoes in one closet. I just can't stand that.

If you hang your boots with hangers that have "teeth", be sure to protect them with a bit of cloth or foam or you'll damage the leather...
