If you have a kitchen as tiny as mine, you might have just enough cabinetry to store your dishes, and not much else to spare. Instead of trying to shove dry goods into a cabinet or storing them in a hallway cupboard, consider using a deep drawer instead.

This drawer is deep, which makes it perfect for these tall airtight storage containers. But this tip would work even if you have shallower drawers — just use smaller storage containers. This setup would be even more efficient with the help of a label maker. Make sure that each storage container full of dried goods is labeled correctly to simplify your cooking.

Not sure which containers to use? Try an airtight container set in several different sizes, which can be helpful if your drawer isn't as large as the one in the photo above, or if you plan to use more than one drawer. Smaller containers can be used for spices, and the medium and large containers are great for grains and flour.

It's not a storage solution if it's inconvenient to work with.
What can I complain though? my baking stuff is stored in a corner cabinet with my pots and pans, and I've got to stick my head in the cupboard to distinguish the corn starch from the icing sugar.
It's definitely not a storage solution..it's just what I have to deal with, so I make it work.
