My 3-year-old daughter wants me to redecorate her bedroom. Exciting, right? The downside is that she wants a princess bedroom — think giant decals and a huge, twinkling pumpkin carriage bed.
That's not going to happen. I'm hoping, however, that by making some smart purchases, I can give her the fairytale glamour she craves without selling out to covering the room with Disney merchandise. The first piece I'm seeking is a fabulous lighting fixture.

Have you seen the different blogger hacks for this lamp? Because you have to assemble all the little flowers, you can take the time to paint each one for a completely custom lighting fixture. My favorites are the gold ones with glass cups glued to the center of the flowers. So chic!

| Obviously I don't need to tell you why a Tiffany blue statement piece and your daughter will go together quite well. If you have a basic chandelier that has nice curves like this one, get yourself some blue spray paint and go to town. Just remember to finish it with a polyurethane sealant spray to really seal the deal. |

If all else fails, you can take any standard metal chandelier and add Light Charms to create a beautiful and glamorous chandelier. The charms come in all different color crystals and attach to the fixture with a small magnet, making them as temporary as you'd like them to be. It's such a smart idea.
