This bedroom needs to be able to be, with a change of colour of bedding, suitable for any type of visitor: parents, friends, siblings, or teenage nephew. As a guest bedroom it shouldn't be too large, but it does need to be spacious enough that elderly relatives don't bang themselves into furniture. There should be space for luggage and clothing as most visitors will probably stay at least a week or two. The bed can't be too low or too high (again, consider ageing relatives). Decor should be minimal but homely. Nothing too personal.
