I usually think of trellis as a pattern for a living room or bedroom, but this convinces me that it's perfect for a kitchen, too.

Of course, the nice thing about trellises-as-structures is that they do stick around - they can't be stuffed in the closet. I love the way these plants suggest that the structure of this patio is here to stay.

But you're point's well taken - if you like it, but it's able to be overexposed, does that automatically mean it's trendy not timeless? I'm not sure.
