The Cullen House in Twilight (known as the Hoke House in real life) is a gorgeous example of the marriage of windows and wood in modern architecture.
I love the way these windows emphasize the roofline of the house, and how they extend the open floor plan all the way to the outside.
I like big windows in traditional spaces, too - they're a great feature of old houses.
In many cases (like my house), big windows are left unadorned. But these pretty curtains are a great solution if that's not an option.
This space is so open to the outside, the walls might as well not exist.
This is one of my very favorite Houzz photos - I love the combination of books, fire, and the outdoors.
And I especially love bay windows with window seats.
These gorgeous windows emphasize the amazing verticality of this house.
This simple little office might be depressing...if it weren't for those fantastic windows.
