I gave Salon Rapunzel in Hamden, Ct a facelift by adding an English Country feel.
I used a gilded mirror and framed art. The walls were color washed with a butter yellow glaze. I added a hand painted stencil for a ceiling border.
The sink was already there so we worked around the out dated floral design by adding topiary and other greenery and gilded accents.
This is my "Rapunzel". Never knew I had it in me. It's amazing what creativity and a small budget inspires!
More of my artwork. We needed something for the back wall. I discovered by painting on rough old plywood you get an old world effect. Hey, it works!
This is a before picture. Since this is a commercial space, the handicap bar is required but unfortunately quite ugly as well...oh what to do?
Problem solved by painting it white. Isn't it so much better?!
Storage was needed for this small space but budget was an issue. I purchased an old dresser at a second hand store and an inexpensive shelving unit and spray painted them black. I sprayed the drawer pulls antique gold too.
