I've been searching for a side table for a while and so far the only thing I've been able to decide on is the shape: round. Next to furniture with sharp angles, a round table will soften edges and break up straight lines. Here are my picks to round things out. — Ally from From the Right Bank
This table, made out of transparent polycarbonate, is actually a container that can be closed on one side with a lid. It can even be used as a magazine rack. How clever is that?
If you like Patricia Urquiola's iconic piece but don't like its price tag, then here is an inexpensive alternative that is equally delicate and pretty.
The retro lounge feel and the bright color of this table is so fun. The high density polyethylene, which is 100-percent recycled, makes it feel modern.
Designed to resemble stone, the solidity of this piece is something that I really love. It's designed to be a seat, but it could make a great table with a tray on top as well.
There's a schoolhouse charm about these pieces — a very stylish schoolhouse, that is! Basic geometric shapes come together to form a really great modern table.
At first I thought this set of nesting tables looked a little Shaker, then I thought it looked a little Scandinavian. The fact that its style isn't easily identified is precisely why I like it so much.
Small light-weight pieces like this table are always great to have on hand to move around as needed. It comes in a variety of colors, but the bright yellow is my favorite.
