January can be a tricky month. Festivities are over, and for many of us, the nights are still dark and cold. To try and kick the January blues, I thought it would be fun to pull together some bright buys to add color and warmth to the cold days ahead. Anything catching your eye? My personal favorites are the Alphabet Trays from West Elm and the Copenhagen Tea Towel.

Alphabet Trays - $8
These Alphabet Trays combine two of my favorite things: bright color and type. Their rich blue hue has me daydreaming of exotic summer escapes.
Halo Candle Holder - $18
I like the sophisticated yet simple design of these candle holders. They're perfect for holding flickering candles to see you through those dark evenings.
Metal Number 3, Red - GBP 20
I think this colorful number would look great nestled in amongst books and vases on a bookshelf.
Striped Mugs - $10
You can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be adding a set of these playful mugs from West Elm to my ever-growing collection before the month is out!
Dylan Armchair, Mellow Lemon - CAD 499
A yellow armchair is the perfect way to add color to a dull corner during the winter months.
Belton Multi-Colour Pattern Cushion - GBP 25
There is a regal feel to this cushion thanks to its rich berry hues.
Retro Wall Clock - GBP 30
I'd like to hang this bright red, retro-inspired wall clock in my kitchen.
Geometric Vase Collection - $19
I love that these vases have a mid-century feel to them. The gently weathered look adds to their character too.
U & I Cushion - GBP 30
With Valentine's Day around the corner, this cushion could be the ideal piece for adding both color and a romantic gesture to your home.
Amorphous Nesting Table Set - $898
With their retro-modern feel and colorful shades of turquoise, coral and red, I'm finding it hard to resist this nest of tables.
Hoot Wood Owls, Oak/Green - $45
Given that I love owls and bright colors, this little fellow is a no-brainer. He is too adorable to not include!
Twitcher Multi-Colour Pattern Cushion - GBP 6
With spring on the horizon, the trend for bird motifs and prints is at its best. This cushion adopts the look wonderfully.
Sari Throw - $198
Apart from being made from recycled saris, this throw is ideal for adding warmth in both vision and reality. Drape it over a plain armchair to make a cozy reading nook.
Bon Voyage Cushion Cover - GBP 7.99
With a floral print, a charming bike and colorful lettering, this cushion has spring written all over it.
Copenhagen Tea Towel - EUR 11
This Copenhagen Tea Towel reminds me that I need to visit this city soon. It looks lovely too!
Anglepoise Giant Floor Lamp - GBP 1,938
If you're not on a budget, then this giant anglepoise lamp would bring a colorful wow-factor to an open, plain space.
Multicoloured Hand Towel - GBP 4.99
Chevrons go bright with this H&M hand towel. I'd mix it in with some color block towels for a standout effect.
Brink and Campman Flavour Pink and Purple Stripe Rug - GBP 550
This rug by Brink and Campman would be great to pair with the cushion seen earlier from Habitat.
ferm LIVING Tea Pot - EUR 70
Simple yet graphic, this teapot would make me smile every time I made a pot of tea!
