ssobrato's ideas
this is interesting to me for the back bathroom...not the colors or anything, but seems to be similar in layout to what you designed...so here is what I like...the idea maybe of stretching the mirror all the way across the sink/vanity and toilet area to make it look larger...I like the small mosaics on one side which wrap to just one side of the shower, and then reflect on the mirror...interesting idea for a small bathroom...will ponder it.
I like the subtlty of the tiling behind the sink. Could be used in the master (even the whole wall behind the mirrored medicine cabinets and also in the shower. Could look great with a white square above the counter sink and darker (or medium as you call it) wood counter top. Like taps coming from the wall, simple like these, in brushed nickel (I think it is?)
I like the colors...perhaps a palate like this could work for the kid's bathroom which will be shared with the guestroom...just for accent...we could even pull one color for the wall color, something fun like the brighter blue...it would be cheery but not too child-like. We could combine this tile idea with another you will see for this bathroom, where the bright blue tile is shown. We will need to see what we can find for accent mosaics and that will determine what can do.
I like the idea of using of contrasting colors (not these colors, of course) and different sizes of tiles. This may be an idea for small back bathroom. Maybe we could do a creamy neutral with solid terracotta tile or something. Or even a terra cotta color for the background with a brighter accent color. One of many ideas for the small back bathroom.
I like the combination of the mosaic shower floor tile with the large rectangular offset shower tiles in a neutral color. Simple, yet interesting. Mosaics could be picked up again behind sink/countertop. Not sure what bathroom this would be for, but just take note that I like it. I'm sending a bunch of ideas which we will narrow down when we meet.
I like the darker wood with the basins above in white, with the faucet coming out of wall. Looks like there are mirrors above that (which I would need mirrored "medicine cabinets which are cut in and thus flush to the wall). I need thin drawers under the counter top, something like I have in Paris. I'll send my Paris picture separately.
I like the mosaic tile with mirror above, facet coming from wall. I don't like mosaics with this much contrast in color, but prefer tone on tone or even mono tone. Don't like hot and cold taps as a general rule, but prefer one control which adjusts both hot and cold. I'm okay with shiny taps if we have more selection, but also like matte.
LOVE the idea of doing horizontal stripes in the kids bedroom. We can paint the triangles on the ceiling a solid color to coordinate with a different color on the ceiling itself.
