I live in Chicago, and after months of unusually warm weather, we finally just got our first big snowfall. Although I’ll probably be cursing the powder in April when I’m dying for some sunshine, right now I’m enjoying my view of snow-crested branches and rooftops — and it has made me think of all things cozy.
I would die for a fireplace right about now, but do you know what would really up the ante? A fireplace at the foot of my bathtub. Since I obviously have neither of those, I have been sitting here with my heat cranked up, getting my fix by collecting photos of drool-worthy bathtubs complete with a radiating fire. Check out these photos, and we can roast marshmallows during a long soak from the comfort of our imaginations.

I can picture it now: gazing outside at a snow-fallen view, my toes warmed by the fire and my favorite read in hand.
Oh, just another rough day in my tub with my fireplace and my beautiful view. Of course, in this version, that beautiful view should be covered with snow. But I’ll take it on cool summer evenings as well.

Even if the fireplace isn’t at the foot of the bath, one anywhere in the bathroom would make me a happy girl. Say goodbye to that cold chill when you step out of the bath; with a fireplace right there, you’ll always be toasty.
I could spend some serious time in here. Take a long bath, dry off by the fire and lounge with a good book and a glass of wine.

Becky Harris I'll never forget the first time I saw a tub with a fireplace at one end, TV at the other. The same bathroom also had a Miele cappucino (sp?) machine built into it. It struck me as very MTV Cribs!
