Accessorizing seems like an easy thing, but often the result is not always what we expected. If you use too many accessories in a room, sometimes they will all compete for attention and the significance of any one item will be lost. That's why it's important to add an "impact" accessory. Your eye will land on that stand-out piece first, then move to the other surrounding items. Using just one important accessory will add a focal point and lessen the feel of clutter in a room.

Wall panels are not only a nice trick for filling in wall space, but they can also become a room's focal point. In addition, as in this space, the wall panels help to create a comfortable and intimate seating area.
I just love the quirky mirror in this space. It adds excitement, and along with the other accessories and hardware, it announces to everyone that this bathroom belongs to the kids!

Few things add intrigue into a space like an African juju hat. These ceremonial hats are handmade from chicken feathers. Their perfectly round shape brings a ton of texture to a space. If you're looking for one impact accessory, this is it.
