Curiosity cabinets (or Wunderkammer, as they are called in German) are known for holding objects of natural wonder and items of the unknown. Often seen during the European Renaissance, these cabinets were sometimes entire rooms full of wondrous items.

Fine Art & Portraits by Laurel My artist mother, of blessed memory, used to make fantasy world terrariums in large glass globes. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit her green thumb with house plants. She would usually make a small mirror pond and have tiny ceramic animals. Lovely!
