Rebkot, here's a suggestion for a solution to changing your color choice with tiles-try a faux glass mosaic wallcovering that can be installed by you without use of glue or paste, can be repositioned to get it just exactly aligned, and can be removed without damage to your wall and stored for reuse at a later date.
(I don't think I'll tire of the color--I've had a red sofa for 25+ years...)
