The toile patterns are a lot more "busy" than what I'd choose for my (much smaller) home, but in these color settings, they work really well. And the garden looks so wonderfully lush!

I have been a follower of Carolyn's blog for a while from here in the UK. She has such a wonderful home, her photography is always so good. She shares her home, cookery, family and a lot more on her blog but also she reads plenty of other blogs and gives lots of friendly comments which are much appreciated. I would love to meet her one day but with the distance it is very unlikely but I feel she is my friend through our blogs. A great lady, wonderful home and marvellous blog.!!

Carolyn's blog is wonderful and so is she. Her home always says, "please come in and have a cup of tea with me." I am glad you featured it.

I have been blogging for about four months now, and one of the first blogs that I added to my blogroll was Carolyn's. Her home and gardens are gorgeous, but it is Carolyn that brings me back over and over again to visit. Her blog, her home, and the surrounding gardens are a reflection of Carolyn's warmth and grace. I am so glad that you featured Aiken House & Gardens so that others may discover and enjoy it as well!

Oh Carolyn, your house makes me cry! We just sold our beautiful old PEI farmhouse - it was getting too expensive to maintain when we live in Alberta and can only get back every 2 years. Quite often during the 6+ years we owned that house, I would say to my husband, "Let's just sell everything here and move back to the island." My husband was born and raised on PEI and I grew up in New Brunswick. The east coast is home still, even though we've lived out here for 18 years.
Your house is gorgeous. You've done a beautiful job on it.
