Saris make wonderful, flamboyant window dressings. I use them at the full 6 yard length, swoop them over a curtain rod, and let them pooch up on the floor. Available at Indian sari stores in SF and Berkeley.
And I use antique, blue or green 1/2 gallon canning jars as cannisters. I have about 20 of them filled with rice, dried beans and peas. They stretch along the countertop and match beautifully.
