since we have issues with the lower area of the roof, can we replace JUST THAT PART with metal with the heaters underneath and replace the wrap that goes over the edge of the wood and do the gutters all at once but leave the main part of the roof alone except where needed at roof junctions from past water issues?
do something to smaller fireplace pipe- even if just cover it with the black sheet metal would look better.
fireplace pit on lower stone patio
a smaller pergola is possible only on western side to only block the worst sun.
I love the way they trimmed the door. Could use with new front doors? Could use with new doors to deck from kitchen when we do those?
stone at the bottoms of the house, and exterior front colums especially looks really nice.
could do something artistic and more three D to cover pipe going up instead of across.
firepit - would be nice to incorporate Nanny's old cast iron cauldron somehow as the bowl
I like that amount of copper at the bottom of the roof maybe.
could use copper junctions like this to go from the tapered in area to something smaller above
interesting pergola where you want it. seems like it COULD even be hung in such a way that you could change the position.
can we do something to make the drips go where we want them and not damage the fascia of the house?
might want to add a hanging fixture outside in addition to cans?
I like having lights there on garage also.
We need to get different front door or at least refinish and change the hardware on ours.
That angle of pergola/sunshade over the hot tub might work well to prevent excess summer heat but allow winter sun
Need shutters for the summer! EXTERIOR ones that we can really shut to keep the heat out. If the sun doestn' hit the window it doesn't do that green house thing.
interesting bed edgers
need a pergola over master deck. Could weave sun fabric through in the summer and remove in the winter. Would need to site/design appropriately to block SUMMER, not winter sun
swinging day bed. love this idea for the back deck once we have a pergola or something from which to suspend it AND we have more deck coverage so it doesn't take up all the space we have. could also just put over the yard as it wouldnt count as coverage then? cantilevered?
color glass possible as part of defensible space, or maybe as backsplash
