There are so many amazing bathtubs to choose from when remodeling your bathroom. I love the uber-contemporary unique designs that emerge on the market almost daily. On the other hand, I am drawn to the pretty vintage appeal of a pink or red clawfoot tub. Lately, though, it has been the wooden tub that has captured my fancy.
Even within the limited category of wooden tubs there are a lot of options: oval-shaped free-standing wood tubs and rectangular wood tubs with strong clean lines. And of course there's the decision regarding whether to use light or dark wood.
In my opinion, the wooden tub would almost always be the centerpiece of the bathroom. The rest of the room would be designed around this great piece. For that reason, I'd say to take your time in choosing this item for the home. Here are some ideas to get you started:

I love this wooden tub that is reminiscent of a wash bucket from days gone by. Plus I'm completely envious of the view from this tub!
An outdoor hot tub is a great place to work with wood. I love the way that the lines of the tub's design are repeated in the fencing as well as the bench extending away from the tub. Very appealing design!

Here is another great example of wood paneling that has been added to a tub. Imagine what this room would look like without the wood around the tub and sink and you can see what a great tool it is for making the room's design much richer.

A wooden tub is especially perfect in the rare bathroom that includes a fireplace. The only thing that I would add here is a really cozy seating area in front of the fireplace where you can dry off and stay warm.

The great thing about wood is that it's a natural material. Play off of this by adding plants and other nature-based decor around the tub.
