this would complement the cabinetry throughout the house. it's a shaker style.
would not use the round stones

imagine what it costs to heat this room?
while this is an outdoor fp, i like the 12x12 tiles that are used to frame it.
simple, yet elegant.
i wonder if jim's mason can replicate this look for the FR.
this looks like the yellow stone jim gave me a sample of from lisa's house's facade. i like the clean lines combined with the mixed stone shapes for the FR, but not as high.
this is ultra-contemporary. not your taste i'm sure but i like the clean lines and mitred marble.
a bit too mount olympus for you?
for the FR again. what do you think about the split hearth?
the marrying of the arch with the straight lines is appealing. the choice of stone would be critical to the look. to stain or paint is the question.
considering this for FR. might have to forego raised hearth.
i can't believe the person who took this photo did not move the orchid. not crazy about the green marble but the wood looks nice.
the raised hearth is fashioned from the same marble as the facade.
ignore the brick used to frame the firebox. would you want a mirror like this? it would double the size of the room visually.
our next house. haha. there won't be a next house after this experience.
another case of blocking the focal point with stuff
let's turn your study into an indoor pool
