1) I simply love the idea of recycling. I love pendant light from ReDesign; how the paperclips ( something which we take for granted) have been created into a simple beautiful light. Simply rejuvenating ! I would put this in my reading corner to complement my recycled wing chair.

2) Indeed a Wonderful Old Wooden Shabby Black Shelf from Turtles Creeks ! I would love this in my entrance hall and have my china plates right below.

So many great choices and I would be thrilled to give a home to any of them but here are my five faves:

*The porch swing by Cyprus Moon furniture- I have always wanted a swing for my front porch but hadn't been able to buy one with all of the other new home expenses. I would hang it there and put a nice lap quilt and throw pillow on it and claim it as my new favorite spot!

* The SteamLight Micro Lamp by Lightexture- We have such cold and dreary winters here in West Virginia so lights and lamps are a must have. I love the light refraction pattern of this item and would likely place it in my hobby room or maybe even on the living room mantle so that everyone else could enjoy it, too!

* the funky spoons coat rack by JJ Evensen Art. Seriously, how fun is that????? We need a coat rack by our front door so that is exactly where it would go!

*the vintage mirror by Rowans Room. I love the ribbon hanger on this mirror and its size. It would go perfect with the guest room in our home that is decorated with big cabbage roses, a white matelasse, and little birds. Kind of a Shabby Chic kind of room. And what a coincidence...it doesn't have a mirror (yet)!

* gift certificate from GraceHesterDesigns- she has a wedding vows print I adore and have been wanting for some time. I would likely get one of those made with my wedding vows on it and then also get a penguin family print with the names of my family. I would probably hang the wedding vow print in my bedroom and place the penguin family print in the living room above the mantle.

The Rowans Room Vintage Mirror could go in the library; it only gets a little bit of sunlight (the windows in that part of the house face out into the fenced-in garden), so maybe it'd reflect the light into the room.

1. Lightexture - I love interesting light sculptures and would really enjoy playing with this in my guest bedroom, which doubles as an office.

We were well on our way--we found our upholstered furniture at super bargain prices--when we found out we had foundation problems. We've been sidetracked to save for repairing the boring foundation, but when/if that is ever done, I'm ready to paint the living room, and start adding accessories, and this pillow/throw set will be absolutely fabulous on my rusty-ish brown leather sofa.

I also love the Cyprus Moon porch swing, but that one I would give to my sister. 1. Cypress Moon Furniture Porch Swing : I just moved into my very first home and my patio is very bare (as in one lone side table). I am in desperate need of some seating and the porch swing would be perfect for it.

2. Visualingual Place Mats : I love the vintage look the screen print vintage doily gives these placemats. They would look great on my kitchen table.

3. Incredible Cat : I have two kitties and I'm sure they would enjoy curling up in the cat bed and watching over the house.

Boy, it's hard to pick just 5!
1. The porch swing. Until I get my true dream house with a large wraparound porch, I have always wanted to hang a porch swing in the living room, next to our large picture window with some colorful pillows and homemade cushions. This would definitely do the trick!
2. The Turtle Creek black mirror/shelf. It would be perfect in my black, gold and cheetah themed dining room. I'd have to add my set of 6 elegant mercury votives across the shelf. Once lit, they would provide a beautiful reflection in the mirror.
3. Susie Harris Typewriter Keys Hanging. Wow! What an awesome piece and one that would be absolutely perfect in my newly remodeled living room, done in light creamy blues, creams, blacks and tans. I have an empty spot on one wall, just waiting for the perfect piece. This is it!
4. The Shabby Home Louis the XV chair. Again, another perfect piece. My youngest is getting a new desk for X-mas in her cottage, shabby chic bedroom and we didn't get a chair yet. The desk is very "shabby" and this is the exact type of chair I've been looking for.
5. Definitely the Lichenwoods Candle Holders. Who couldn't find a spot for this gorgeous, natural trio? I think the shabby mantle in my living room would make the perfect home for them.

Dear Houzz,
For Christmas this year I would love the following items for my very own houzz.

1.) Cypress Moon Furniture: This porch swing would be perfect for my backyard....whether it's a romantic night under the stars with a glass of wine, or just a conversation with one of my best friends in our pjs drinking lemonade--those cup holders will be utilized!
2.) Lichenwoods: These candles would bring a touch of nature and light to my family room table. I love anything that lets me bring the great outdoors inside!
3.) ReDesign Technologies: How cool is this light fixture? I would use it to light up my recently renovated garage. Garages aren't usually the most stylish areas of a home so this would be an amazing upgrade. Also, my garage double functions as a bike shop and this fixture just seems to fit right in with the bike theme.
