During the holidays, the kitchen tends to be a very busy place. So it's more important than ever to be surrounded by elements that inspire you to enjoy the time you spend cooking and baking. The same way you would surround yourself with beautiful, comfortable bedding in your bedroom to ensure you get a good nights sleep.
A creative and thoughtful blend of divine design details can help to a concoct the perfect recipe for a great-looking, good-feeling kitchen.
Here are a few ingredients you might want to give a try...
- Create a stage for your prettiest dishes by adding a floating shelf across the middle of the window over your sink.

The floating shelf in the middle of the window was positioned so that it doesn't obstruct the beautiful view, but still provides ample storage for pretty dishes. The way the natural light dances across and through them is breathtaking. Imagine waking up to a glass full of sunshine every day!

There's nothing like perfect symmetry to make you feel strong and stable in a space. Here, the symmetry between the height of the fireplace and the height of the windows creates such a feeling of confidence. Using two identical topiaries on the left and right side of the firebox also lends to the well-balanced look and feel in this space.
The freshness of the white counter, walls and ceiling above the dark gray base cabinets is very visually pleasing in this kitchen.
