I'm all about the minimalist look, so I'm really struggling with this awkward area in my kitchen. My neighbor has vintage globes over her cabinets - I love it, but the colors won't work in my space. I'm thinking I may go with three Vintage fans over one side and then a large copper water pitcher on the other end. Maybe a little greenery.

I need some ideas for my plate rail too... I'm not a plate collector and so far, and little knick-knacks that fit on a plate rail are creepy animals or predictable tall/skinny vases.
