Houzz is the new way to design your home.
nice above ground fireplace with wood storage underneath, and simple
i like the wood stove with the kettle on top - not what we're planning, but i love the idea of having people over and making tea in a pot on the wood stove.
How about an openable window with a ladder to the basement! I love it!
i like this painting
I like the style of the couch, the lamp, the guitars on the wall and the round table
Another small bathroom layout
The vanity's practical with the towels rolled up like that!
I love this lighting and the tree stump tables and the art work
I like this light and the pocket door idea
I like this lighting also - the long icicles are great!
Could we have this in our living room, but with a plant or a ficus...from basement to living room at back door?
Another interesting way to deal with firewood
I like this stone fireplace - very french country kitchen - ish
Fireplace Renovation - AFTER
I like the simplicity of this fireplace with the concrete bench
THis is probably the type of fireplace we'll be aiming for. But a more interesting style would be great.
I don't really like this, but i see how it works well from multiple angles
HD81 See-Thru Gas Fireplace
This is also a good option - again i don't like it much, but it seems practical.....
This type of surround might be a good compromise with the glass, although this one obscures the fire too much!
Regency Alterra CS1200 wood stove
If this had visibility on the sides, or on one side, it would be of interest.
Tree Tops, Salisbury - GBP 7,768
Nice. Too expensive, and how will we manage the heat issue (i.e. it getting to hot and offsetting the heating in the house).
Nice-ish (too heavy looking) and has a side view...
Heatilator FL92 Pier Wood Fireplace - $2,996
Not quite right, but if the casing weren't black and it weren't so square looking and uninviting it's a good idea - i do like the idea of a higher fireplace, although this one is too high.
Again, don't like this one (the red brick's not nice, a beige stone, more french country kitchen, would be much nicer, but it's in the right direction of modern rustic and very visible.
I like the stone and/or the color of the stone, and the mantle. it's substantive but not oppressive and it's a nice light color.
Lifeplus New Classics: Tom Dixon's Beat Pendant Lights kitchen light dinning
Love the swing chair.
