I'm the crafty gal of I Still Love You (http://melissaesplin.com/). When I'm not wiping noses & bums I'm designing, drawing, sewing, decorating & keeping my hands busy with as many creative DIY projects as possible.
I'm trying to refine the style in my home by adding investment pieces as I can afford them. I don't want my house to look like it came out of a box, so I'm always on the lookout for unique silhouettes and surfaces. I'd be proud to see any of these bar stools make their way into my home. — Melissa from I Still Love You
I can't get over the mix of blond wood and bright white. These stools look classy, sturdy and unique from anything I've seen around the big-box stores in my area.
I love the white woven detail on this stool. I'm not sure how clean it would stay with my kids, but it would pair well with my webbed poang chair in the living room.
The shiny chrome would work perfectly with my Bertoia chairs. The backless profile would allow for more sitting room in the kitchen, while still keeping the walking space open.
The tripod look is so popular — cropping up in seating and lighting everywhere. This low-profile, backless barstool would be a perfect addition to our small counter space.
Michael Thonet chairs seem to be all the rage these days. People are clambering to find them in back alleys and vintage shops, so thank heavens they're available new as well. The bright red is so cheery and modern.
These colorful barstools are exactly what the doctor ordered for a cheery kitchen. The bright green might be my personal favorite. They're affordable, too.
The ribbon stool is gorgeous. It's a completely different approach to the bar stool, and reminds me of straps on a barrel. I love the bright colors available, too.
The small, colorful profile of this stool packs a punch, but doesn't take up a whole lot of space. I love the minimal approach in the design. Perfect for small or awkward spaces.
This bar stool is absolutely stunning. I love the molded seat and the natural wood combined with the iron frame. This seat would work well in modern or traditional spaces.
This chair is so sleek and gorgeous. It wouldn't really go with our kid-friendly, rustic styling, but the lines are so beautiful and soft. I'm sure if I saw it in someone's home, I wouldn't be able to stop stroking it.
