Last week we perused a lot of lovely trestle tables, and this week we'll take a gander at its first cousin, the sawhorse table. First used in wood shops and on job sites during construction, the sawhorse table is literally made up of two sawhorses and a board. Designers took notice of its simple and pleasing shape and easy portability, and have adapted it for all of the rooms outside of the tool shed. Here are 10 favorites here on Houzz.

I was torn whether to add this image to this sawhorse table ideabook or the trestle table ideabook, because it is kind of a hybrid, but I wanted to include at least one sawhorse dining table in this book. This shows how you can put together a very striking industrial table with elements bought from the carpentry section of Home Depot or Lowe's.

Another trestle/sawhorse table hybrid: The side legs resemble sawhorse legs somewhat, but the bar down the middle is more of a trestle table element.
