Prince William and the soon-to-be Princess Kate will breathe new life into the royal fashion and usher in a fresh, modern vibe to their "new palace." Send in the royal decorator! The list of applicants are undoubtedly a mile long, but here are a few tips to remember in case you are a contender for the royal assignment:
First impressions are lasting ones. When you step foot in this entryway it should speak volumes of His Royal Highness and his Leading Lady. Make understated elegance the overall theme for the royal residence.
This well-appointed kitchen has a unique flavor of its own. It offers a balanced blend of country and traditional design that is satisfying to any palate. The pendant lights have the luster of Prince William's flight wings and adds an industrial feel to the space. Sprinkled throughout the kitchen are Kate-inspired touches such as the crewel fabric on roman shades and dainty china behind the glass doors.
Create a harmonious marriage of masculine and feminine design using a neutral palette in the couple's bedroom. This four poster bed is where dreams and fairytales come true. Dress the bed in luxurious linens and various textures for bliss that lasts long after the honeymoon is over. Replace side tables with mirrored nightstands for added sparkle.
Kate is often seen wearing floral printed dresses. Take a cue from her wardrobe and adorn her quarters in feminine, floral wallpaper.
The future princess is a natural beauty and requires nothing more than a classic primping station. Surround the dressing table with her best photography as a nod to her profession.
The royal twosome are often see enjoying outdoor activities such as hunting and skiing. Incorporate their love for the outdoors with rich woods. Veneered in Macassar Ebony, one of the hardest and most sought-after woods used in the construction of fine furniture, this table can stand up to years of casual dining and entertaining.
Prince Williams and Kate attend equestrian events, even though she's rumored to be allergic to horses. These elegantly frames horse prints acknowledge their favorite pastime and shared interest.
An heir to the throne should have a dark and handsome den. When decorating this space, think sleek and tailored like the man himself dressed in his Royal Air Force Uniform.

brie68510 unless your family is really good about pushing in the bar stools....perhaps the kitchen would be better with the chairs on the island side that is away from the sink and dishwasher.....

jeg0657 I agree with Brie - can see the bar stools really getting in the flow of work. Otherwise this is an absolutely gorgeous style of decorating - very tailored, comfortable and classic.

trouse I love it! It's so harmonious and very classic while elegantly mixing styles. I appreciate the barstools; because of the fabric that was chosen they make the border in the tile pop and compliment the baskets (very country classic).
