Houzz is the new way to design your home.
I like the organic influence of the bonsai being carried to the decorative glass. I also like the original water delivery system, although personally I prefer more privacy and would include at least a lightweight raw silk shade in the window that would allow all the light in but still provide a bit of personal freedom without having to worry about neighbors with telephoto lenses.
I like the privacy plus the generous amount of natural light, and the outdoors-in feel is lovely!
Saw a similar tile pattern in a book and loved it there, too! The sink is gorgeous... absolutely eyecatching! The dark blue paint is a terrific choice with the tile and wood colors, and the relief of it with the lighter diamond-pattern in the toilet area was an excellent choice to lighten up what would have otherwise been a very heavy, potentially depressing, bathroom.
I love that this takes the simple inspiration of the Zen lifestyle and combines it with a sleek, modern palette. The choice of block glass to let light into the shower area is a unique one. I especially appreciate how the silvery-white wood does a great deal to define the spaces of the bathroom while anchoring the vast expanses of white porcelain and paint, yet it doesn't create a whitewashed or sterile effect. Absolutely beautiful!
Interesting way to define a wet-area shower space while still keeping a tranquil, meditative Asian feel.
Beautiful glass mosaics!
Beautiful warm colors, set off brilliantly with the metallic, dark pewter of the wall display and tub and the organic greens and browns of the plants.
I love the traditional color scheme, set off amazingly by the accessories! The black is striking without being too heavy thanks to the bamboo and integrated lights.
Gorgeous accent piece in the shower! The natural river rock embedded in the wall adds just the right amount of interest and keeps the floor from sticking out like a sore thumb amid the smoother marble.
Beautiful tilework! Too bad the tub and that god-awful showerhead and the badly-placed wall hook completely ruin the space. XP
Smooth and sleek, pleanty of storage. The tile and light fixtures aren't to my taste, but the concept is just great!
Holy crap, the time that tile pattern must have taken to lay out! Absolutely breathtaking!
Nice choice of accessories and a tub surround!
Interesting backsplash shape for the vanity, and I like the cabinetry and the open, airy feel... The tile and the marble are the pits though-- memo to me to never ever use them.
I like the river-ish feel to the space, very interesting.
Very open but also private, really unique!
I like that it's a way to use up the extra (less wasted material and money), plus being a way to tie the room together, plus it's super-elegant!
I like the smoother subway-style tiles and the chunky, more textured feel of the accent wall. It's a lovely, restful monochromatic scheme with lots of warmth and visual interest.
