As the colder air settles in, many of us are cocooning in our homes. In the winter, brown becomes a dominant color outdoors, but this classic color can also help us feel cozy indoors. And whether you want to create a casual, elegant or colorful space, there are many stylish ways to use brown this season and all year long.

Just a few years ago, the trend was to pair brown with pastels such as pink and light blue. These days, it's very stylish to use brown with more saturated hues such as orange, red and blue.
In this space, I surrounded a chocolate brown sofa with vibrant hues creating a fun, retro feel.
Tip: If you still prefer pastels, go for an unexpected color such as lilac or coral. Your space will look creative and original.

Tip: Not all browns are created equally. This color can have red, gray and even purple undertones. Select a shade that complements your space. For example, if your room has cherry wood furniture or flooring, then a reddish-brown might work best. |

InterDesign Studio Classic Brown worked great as an accent color tying all the rooms together.
