Sam's Snug
A simple 'hand drawn' plan for your room 1. the door swing is reversed, i.e. the door is hung on the left hand side not as currently on the right hand side 2. Double seat piano stool tucks under the piano but can be pulled out and used as a 'table' or place to put a tray 3. Tub-style chair tucks under the bespoke but simple desk area. This chair can be turned into the room for use as extra seating when you are using the room as your adult space. The rest of the time it serves the desk for working at. 4. Floor lamp 5. Large floor rug defines the space 6. Nest or single tables for drinks, books etc 7. Standard size 'arm' chair for when you want to use the room as your adult space
Getting some inspiration from Pantone Colour palettes - this one is called Weekend Getaway - and to quote "time on weekends to replenish body and soul.' It's all about the balance of these colours in the scheme - the 'deep lake' (left hand side) is already present in your room in the fireplace tiles. As I said before, I hoped you'd love the sunny yellow - if not for a bold splash on the walls then at least for accessories. The achingly subtle 'moth' (far right) could be used on all your trim (doors and window frames etc)
This idea suits you, as you might just be a 'piler' and not a 'filer.' !
